Computers
Over a period of time your computer may seem sluggish, and take forever to start up!This is because you are filling your computer with information. Every time you visit a web page, download updates, install new software or save your music and photo's. Your computer has to store, read and interact with this information. Although this is what your computer is designed to do, sometimes it needs a helping hand to tidy things up!
There are many ways to clean up your computer. Most of which are fairly simple or on modern operating systems, are automatic! However, some of the best ways to speed up your PC are a little bit more technical and require an in depth knowledge of how a computer operates.
THS Provide an annual Hardware (see below) and software clean. The software clean will improve your startup time and keep your PC running smoothly. We will also teach you how to perform some of the easy steps to keep your PC problem free, if you wish.
There are many reasons why this will happen. But one of the most common is overheating!
Overheating is usually caused by dust build-up, which blocks vents.
An annual Hardware clean is essential, and must be done by a technician. (You may invalidate your warranty or cause permanent damage if you attempt this yourself!) Keeping your computer free from dust will not only prevent it from crashing, but will also greatly extend it's lifespan!
Freezes and crashes, may also be caused by software conflicts or faulty hardware, like: failing power supplies and memory. It is sometimes difficult to diagnose the problem, especially if it is intermittent. THS have the knowledge and equipment to identify the cause, and to rectify the problem quickly. All work is guaranteed and costs are kept to a minimum.
This is by far the most common computer problem. There are a number of steps you can take to try to resolve the problem:
It can seem like the end of the world when your computer is infected with a virus! There are many different types of infections, some of which I have listed below.
It is very important that a virus is removed quickly! Some infections can allow hackers to clone your identity and make purchases in YOUR name. Others can wipe the hard drive (including external hard drives, when connected). And in rare instances, certain viruses can cause permanent damage to your hardware, i.e. Monitor, processor, motherboard and hard drives.
So if you suspect that you have a virus, call THS as soon as possible!
